Andis Blade Guide

Andis has created this guide if you are unsure which blade you need for a specific breed or your own dog. Please remember that the cutting lengths are measured against the natural lay of the coat. Cutting in the direction of the coat lay leaves the fur one size longer (for example, cutting with a #7 blade in the direction of the lay results in a #5 length). All recommended blades should be used following the direction of the coat lay.
